Sarah and Sean started their forever with a dreamy destination wedding in Dublin, Ireland. They were surrounded by their most cherished loved ones on a picturesque spring day. Seeing as Sarah’s mother was from Ireland, getting married in her homeland just felt right. Sarah and Sean found a perfect balance of tradition and special touches! Their big day was spectacular to witness behind the lens.
Picture getting ready with all of your favorite ladies on the grounds of the dreamy Cabra Castle. Sun is shining, music is playing, everything feels perfectly aligned! Sarah had her makeup done by the lovely Juliet Morrow Makeup, and selected a stunning yet simple dress from Made with Love Bridal, while her ladies beside her wore mix matched dresses from Birdy Grey. While we walked the grounds and took bridal party photos, it reminded me that all of the little moments of your wedding day add up to be the big picture. While planning your wedding, be sure to focus on mini moments of joy, verses rushing to the next portion of the day. It allows you to relax into the moment, especially with all of the moving parts taking place!
Their ceremony was held in the same church, St. Peter & Paul’s Drumconrath, that Sarah’s grandparents tied the knot many moons ago. Once it was official, the wedding guests headed over to the Castle where a red carpet awaited them to welcome the new Mr. and Mrs! How special! With champagne in hand, the party got started right away with cocktail hour. Unsure when to take your couples portraits? Extending your cocktail hour a bit so you can sneak away and have time to get photos is a wonderful way to be present for both!
The Cabra Castle was the perfect backdrop for the most stunning portraits. The Castle had been in the hands of many families over the years. It’s believed to have been originally owned by the O’Reilly family. The ruins of the original Cabra Castle can be seen on a slight height near the Wishing Well, in what is now Dún a’ Rí Forest Park, formerly part of the Cabra Estate. With rich history all around and so many areas to socialize with loved ones, it was the perfect backdrop for a magical wedding. Sean looked dapper in his tux from Mckenna Man, and the couple really wowed their guests with a choreographed first dance! The reception area was adorned with beautiful florals by Flowers by Ann.
The night came alive with the spectacular band Electric Circus Weddings, and a surprise Irish step dance from Sean’s sisters. Weddings bring families together, and curate new traditions for years to come. Having your wedding in a venue that feels important to you and your love story is so important to honor! Their destination wedding in Dublin, Ireland was their dream come true! With a party that lasted all night, and a dance floor that was packed until the end, I would say Sarah and Sean made a wonderful, unforgettable night full of memories for their friends and families for years to come! Cheers to the new Mr. and Mrs!
