There is something extra special about this gorgeous Graystone Quarry wedding in Nashville; the fact that I have been photographing this couple since before their proposal! I know that telling a couple’s story is something to be cherished, but seeing my own work evolve and shift as the years go on has been so delightful to witness alongside their milestones. Caroline and John are dear friends of mine and have the most loving and warm relationship. When they decided to get married in Franklin, Tennessee, right outside of Nashville, I was already counting down the days until they said I do!
Nashville is already such a lovely area to tie the knot, but Graystone Quarry in Franklin, Tennessee has to be one of the most beautiful locations I have ever photographed!! A beautiful ceremony area that has floor to ceiling windows with the most beautiful light, a firepit onsite for cocktail hour coziness, a pond that adds such a natural touch, and reception area dressed with bistro lights and the most perfect blend of elements inside. Not to mention, they also produced the incredible florals for the big day! I truly could not have pictured these two at a more fitting location! When deciding on a venue, Caroline and John knew they wanted it to be romantic, natural, and have an outdoor area. From a photographer’s standpoint, it was so nice to have such incredible natural light and many areas to take portraits and candids. If you are reading this and still deciding on a venue, try and imagine many portions of the night, not just the dance floor area! And a little something extra special for the live event specialists that John and Caroline are – their venue added a beautiful new auditorium that we also of course took some photos at!
Having the privilege to photograph this gorgeous Graystone Quarry wedding in Nashville reminds me just how lucky I am to see friendships flourish through my lens. It is truly an honor to photograph so many memories, and I know they value my work so deeply as they are able to see their relationship unfold on camera with a familiar face behind each shot. When looking for a photographer, try and imagine not only choosing a wedding photographer, but someone you trust to capture life’s most cherished moments. I believe that the more you are able to connect with your clients, the more capable you are of telling their true love story. Cheers to you two lovebirds, may this new chapter bring you endless joy and happiness!
