Obsessed is an understatement when it comes down to this stunning elopement that took place at Martha’s Vineyard off Cape Cod! It was styled to perfection thanks to Elope with Kasey Jo’s Elope East Coast Event! I was so excited not just for this shoot, but to fly out East for a little getaway; an excellent mix of business and pleasure.
Upon arriving at Auto Camp: Cape Cod, I was entranced by the mix of modern architecture with adventurous decor. The clubhouse lounge made for the perfect place for portraits and getting ready. Remember how I said obsessed? Well it started with the lounge and carried through as I saw the most perfect elopement gown by Lovely Bride Phoenix and hands down the coolest tux by Friar Tux. The detail in these ensembles portrays exactly what one should do when eloping: focus on you and splurge on your outfits because it’s a once in a lifetime experience and you want to feel your absolute best during it. In the words of Tom Haverford & Donna Meagle, “Treat Yo Self!”
Their first look took place on the the ferry ride over to Martha’s Vineyard and it couldn’t have been more romantic! Plus, talk about the excitement building up as we waited to travel to the ceremony site right on the beach!
Now for the floral installation… wow. Ninety Two Design Co. took the vision and understood the assignment. The neutral palette complimented every bit of the day: the tux, gown, scene, all of it. My favorite was the ceremony arragement full of dried palms and pops of pampass grass. What a dream!
As the shoot carried on we explored rocky dunes and utilized the fresh winds that came through. The kept the day feeling so intimate and romantic, especially during the time spent sitting at the “reception” table that Kadeema Rentals created. It was placed low to the sand and lined in chiffon and clay pottery, complimenting the florals seen throughout the day.
It was truly a trip to remember, and I can’t wait to make my way back to one of the most beautiful places ever!
