There are SO many locations in Greater Nashville to choose from for your photoshoot!! I mean, SO many. And they are all so stunning! It can be overwhelming to decide on the right one. t’s important to really think about where and why before you choose. I’m here to guide you and offer all the info! I’ve seen all these places multiple times throughout the year so I can tell you if the trees are still in bloom or the grass turns yellow haha! Every location can also look completely different depending on the season, the weather, and even how you dress to compliment it! So think about the feel you want to give your session – fun, flirty, classy, playful, cozy, adventurous… whatever it is, keep it in mind while checking out the top 10 Nashville engagement session locations on my list below! 🙂
1 》DOWNTOWN NASHVILLE / PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE
Perfect views of the iconic nashville skyline from both the bridge and the riverfront. This spot is the most “public” on my location list, but has the most variety, with cityscape, greenery, water, bridges, and quick access to broadway if your wanting to end the session with some honky tonks! Plus it always has color (either from nature or buildings) for lively photos all year!
2 》WAR MEMORIAL
If you love the feel of classic architecture, soft stone, and elegant details, the war memorial building is perfect! It creates gorgeous, clean, neutral tone photos – or an easy background to stand out in!
3 》DOWNTOWN ROOFTOP
Rooftops are so fun cause you an make it whatever feel you want – casual and playful, or cozy and chill, or even classy and sweet. I’ve seen it all done and I have loved every version!!
4 》WARNER PARKS
With winding paths, endless greenery in the summer, and grand stairs creating depth all year, these parks are like no other. It’s beautiful from any direction and even if it’s crowded, there’s room to be creative!
5 》BELMONT
If classy editorial is more your vibe, Belmont University’s campus has stunning backdrops. From beautiful stone windows, grand fountains, and and gorgeous architecture and pathways, you’ll get a ton of variety for your photos!
6 》MARCELLA SMITH PARK
Tall wispy grasses, paths lined with trees, a pond, rolling hills… this park is one of my favorites cause it has SO much texture and variety in such a small space! I love the romantic and dreamy vibe that comes with this location. And if that sounds like what you are going for, it’s definitely the spot for you! Plus, we even made rain photos look stunning here!
7 》PARTHENON
Right in Centennial Park, is the breathtaking Parthenon. Giving all the regal, elegant, but also soft and filmy vibes. It doesn’t have much variety, but it has a wow factor that no other spot quite has.
8 》SMITH SPRINGS PARK
If you are wanting a more private and secluded location by the water that has tall trees, a gorgeous sunset, and even rocky terrain when the water is low, this is the place! This is also one of my favorites + has never failed to capture epic, but sweet, moments for my couples!
9 》CHEEKWOOD
For elegant gardens and historic grounds, Nashville has the perfect botanical gardens called Cheekwood. They do charge an hourly fee to use their grounds for your session, but’s so worth it for these gorgeous shots! From the Wisteria Arbor, the Reflecting Pool, and the multiple gardens on site, there is endless beauty at every corner of this place!
10 》THE PARK AT HARLINSDALE FARM
Right outside Nashville, near downtown Franklin, Harlinsdale offers the perfect rural, countryside feel for your session. Picket fences, stables, ponds, beautiful sunsets, and even hidden river access! It’s definitely a favorite of my past and present couples!
